ReplyNo , but you should always make a backup in case anything goes wrong :) , but by this method the chance of anything going wrong is 0.01%
ReplyThanks for info ;)
Replyyes! worked for me TOO!
ReplyBUT...
I had to install ADB drivers first (this was simple, because I found them in the "files"-folder of the extracted DOoMLoRD-folder: ADB.exe) this should be done between your steps 6 and 7
thank you very much.
one more question:
Replywhat happens with the root when I do a "factory reset"?
You will loose the root.
Replyafter *daemon started sucsessfully*, then it finish or should I wait?

ReplyDid you enable USB Debugging Mode?? Installed the ADB Drivers??
ReplyI installed it (at least I made all the steps and my phone rebooted) but when I try to use the root (like in Root Explorer) it doesn't work.
ReplyDo you see Superuser app in the app drawer?
ReplyNo, there is no Superuser app
ReplySo the root did not work , try again from start.
Replywhich phone do you have please? :)
Reply@Mates Tyč Well I dont think he will reply you :p
ReplyIf u are facing any problem u can ask me ;)
I run runme_win, but it doesn't work.
ReplyIt shows: error: more than one device and emulator
Just connect your phone , exit PC Companion , Flashtool , etc. and then execute runme_win.bat
ReplyThanks for your reply
ReplyI had successfully root it on another pc
I will try that next time :)
thank you verry much its working .verry good post bro..
Replygood luck
Welcome :)
ReplyI have a doubt.. what exactly does it mean by "installing adb drivers for ur device"? I found the folder named 'files' in the zip.. i can see an ADB.exe file in it. But how do I install which file, and where?
ReplyYour Link is not working.. I mean when I start the download it does not start...!
ReplyThanks bro...my phone is now rooted.every thing seems fine now.Hope there is no problems arising in future. It's the easiest rooting procedure I've come across.Once again "THANK YOU"
ReplyWhen you install Sony PC Companion , ADB Drivers are automatically installed , just connect with USB Debugging Mode on ,see step 3, also when you are rooting your device make sure you exit Sony PC Companion and any other related program. And the folder "files" in the zip is related to rooting , you don't have to do anything with that , if you want to root , just Open runme_win.bat
ReplyThe download link is working fine , try with different browser.
ReplyWelcome :)
ReplyWorked like a charm! Thanks a lot.
Replydone easily in the matter of seconds..good job mate =D
Replyafter
Reply'press any key to continue......
---STARTING---
---WAITING FOR DEVICE---'
it never move. what should i do?
Follow all the steps properly it will work , also make sure adb drivers are installed (If u install Sony PC Companion and connect ur phone with usb debugging on ,adb drivers are automatically installed) also when before executing runme_win.bat , make sure u exit all other adb related program like Sony PC Comapnion , Flashtool ,etc.
ReplyFollowed all instructions as mentioned...
ReplyNothing happened...got this error message
"error: more than one device and emulator"
Help me please...
Just connect your phone , exit PC Companion , Flashtool , etc. and then execute runme_win.bat, disconnect any other devices if u have connected to ur pc via wifi or by using any other connectivity.
ReplyThanx bro.... Already solved it.... I was using bluestacks apps player.... Now i gained root acces on my device.. Thx once again...
Replyit worked smoothly,....Thanks dude,....i pray God to bless you.
ReplyTHINGS TO NOTE(in addition to what you already know)..
1. Make sure tick the install pc companion(so u can skip it later) on ur phone
2. before u run the "runme_win.bat" go to files and run adb and superuser.apk
3.then run.......smoothly..........should happen within seconds, wait for ur fone to restart......ok.
2.
Replypls the superuser.apk should be copied to the memory card and installed on the fone........... thanks.
Great :)
ReplyMany thanks man, this stuff works like magic, so easy was it in use. worked flawlessly for my sony xperia p jellybean, without having to unlock my bootloader.
ReplyWelcome ^_^

ReplyYou must be doing something wrong, when u execute runme_win.bat , it will say Press any key to continue at the bottom of the cmd screen, after that you dont have to do anything just wait , and when it finishes it will again say Press any key to continue . Thats it
ReplyThanks a lot!! btw, shall i revert step 3 and 4 after rooting? tia :P
ReplyYour choice , to install apk files you need to check Unknown Sources. So it depends upon you , you can revert if you want :)

ReplyYou can flash the st27i firmware also , not a problem :) or use Sony PC Companion or Sony Update service to update your phone to the latest build :)
ReplyNo, not to upgrade firmware. I mean you already answer that one (using pc companion). Im asking how to root my hh, is it the same method with the st27i or not? :(
ReplyIts the same
Replyfacory reset will go to original OS from sony?
Replyit just says waiting for device! nothing happens after that
Replyi have a problem when i run the runme bat and i then follow those steps and then theres that error saying "system cannot find the path specified" and then just nothing happens help!:(

ReplyI doesnt work on my Xperia P .It shows that the bat cant findy any way .U know?If i press any Number that it cant findy anything. My Phone is connected to the Pc and Usb debungin and unknwon sorcers are allowed ..Whats the problem?
ReplyThats because u dont have ADB Drivers installed, this has been answered so many times , read the previous comments -__-
Replywhola it woked though intially it showed adb drivers out of date but aftewards it ran smoothly many thanks
ReplyThanks...
ReplyIt worked for my Xperia Go..
I was initially stuck on the "waiting for device stage" and have PC companion installed and I installed the ABD drivers included in the files folder. However, I was able to overcome this by disabling my mobile's antivirus. After that I got "The system cannot find the path specified. ---Please wait the device is now rebooting. The system cannot find the path specified. ALL DONE!. Press any key to continuue...".Well my phone did not actually reboot and my phone doesn't seem to be rooted, I've checked with basic root checker as well ans supersu doesn't detect any script.
ReplyWhen ADB Drivers are not installed, you get such errors.
ReplyLeft Click on My Computer and Click on Manage , go to Device Manager and check whether ur phone is listed there , like the below screenshot :
http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-spgUSPQtnu0/UsMpfHmDWeI/AAAAAAAABBQ/ySKPtD_H7QM/s1600/Screenshot_1.png
i installed adb but it didn't show at the device manager :\ wut should i do ?????
Replyi stuck into daemon started successfully
i solved it and i did root :) but now what after rooting ??? how can i improve the phone???
ReplyHow will i know if the root is completed successfully?
Replyand how can i have access into battery and core settings through after rooting? (by using SUPERSU app?)
Thanks a lot for the guide.
Thanks a lot!! Everything worked easily, quickly and perfectly!! :-)
